Network Sales Executive

You+Media is seeking experienced sales professionals to sell major advertising categories for its citysite, youplusdallas.com. Ideally, you are someone who has sold advertising at the local level (working both large and small accounts), and has at least 2-3 years’ experience in the Dallas market. Ability to pitch ad agencies is a big plus. The candidate should have some working knowledge of online video and online advertising terminology. We have a unique offering of services with a very broad potential base of clients; in other words, the opportunity is significant in several major sectors. Neighborhood Sales Executive

A major component of You+Media’s citysite, youplusdallas.com, is Neighborhoods. Some call our Neighborhood Pages “an online weekly newspaper;” we call it the future of local media. The news of your community told through cinematic videos, lively blogs, pictures, and podcasts. We are now hiring full-time and part-time sales reps in each of our Neighborhoods (and some which are soon to launch) who know and love their community and want a fulfilling way to earn money close to home. This is an ideal opportunity for a someone looking to get back into the workforce on their own schedule; you are basically building your own business in your backyard. We are very creative in our compensation structure and can tailor the hours and scope of the job to suit the individual. Neighborhood sales reps work from home yet have all the office interaction and support they need from our central office in downtown Dallas. Sales and/or media experience preferred. Internships

Want to break into new media? Internships are available at You+Media in the areas of video production, video editing, marketing & events, and online sales. A strong interest and some experience in the area in which you apply are preferred, in addition to excellent computer, communication, and organizational skills. Must be willing to work in a fast-paced, demanding environment under tight deadlines. Although internships are unpaid, You+Media interns gain invaluable “real world” work experience. Interns should be available to work a minimum of 12 hours per week.

Video Editor

We are a video-based company, so our editors are critical to the success of our content creation. We’re looking for experienced video pros who can work in a variety of styles. We are a Mac shop and extensive knowledge of Final Cut Pro is a must. You will edit a wide array of content: from short opinion piece clips that need simple trimming to in-depth investigative journalism pieces. Music videos, integrated advertising videos, interviews, animated pieces, and even some short films. On days when you are not editing, you will be brainstorming with producers, meeting with clients, and shooting video projects yourself. Extra credit for experience with all of Adobe Creative Suite plus After Effects, Motion, and Color. We need to see your reel so please include a link to your online portfolio or website.

Photographer

We need motivated, multi-talented videographers who can handle a wide array of assignments. Each day will present new opportunities, capturing live sports, concerts, and events one day to highly stylized concept videos the next. You will shoot lots of personality profiles and interviews so an ability to relate to all kinds of people is a must. Sometimes you will work alone and sometimes as part of a crew with director, audio, and producer. Strong knowledge of lighting in ALL situations is a must. You will also work with a variety of equipment, from high-end RED cameras to Flip Minos (you’ll use our equipment but if you have some gear of your own that’s a plus). We shoot primarily in 16:9 HD formats. Ability to also shoot quality still photography is a big plus. You must be organized as you will oversee the storage and maintenance of all our video equipment. Extra credit for ability to do basic editing in Final Cut Pro; experience with specialty equipment like jibs and Steadicam; or studio shooting experience with TelePrompters, etc. We need to see your reel so please include a link to your online portfolio or website.
